A small studio for unglamorous documents

Why these templates exist

Most template shops sell the same five files with a new cover. The problem with that is not the design — it is that the file falls apart the moment you use it for real: the invoice is missing a field your accountant needs, the spreadsheet has no formulas, the “editable” PDF is a flattened image.

Every DeskLane file is built to survive contact with an actual client. Invoices carry the fields that keep them from bouncing back. Spreadsheets calculate. Planners are short enough that you will still be using them in week three.

How each file is made

• Written first, designed second. The content is drafted as a working document, then laid out — not the other way round.
• Rendered, not exported from a stock file. Each page is generated from its own source, so the typography and spacing stay consistent across the whole shop.
• Tested in both page sizes. Every template ships in US Letter and A4, and both are checked on paper, not just on screen.
• Proofread and revised. Feedback from buyers goes back into the file, and updated versions are free for anyone who already bought it.

What you can expect

• Digital downloads only — nothing is shipped, nothing gets lost in the post.
• Files you can use for your own business and your own clients, as often as you like.
• A reply to your email, usually within one working day.
• No subscriptions, no accounts, no upsell sequence.

A word on what these templates are not

They are planning and organising aids. Templates that touch on invoicing, contracts, tax or estate planning include the fields and wording that are customary in their field, but they are not legal, tax or financial advice, and they do not replace a professional. If a document matters, have a professional look at it.

Where to buy

Everything is sold through the DeskLane Studio shop on Etsy. That means Etsy’s buyer protection, the payment methods you already use, and a public review history you can read before you spend anything.
